Handled Denim came about through a conscientious attempt to translate a daily ritual into an art project.
I have been ripping denim jeans apart and pulling threads one at a time since the fall of 1999.
My motivations for pulling lint include finding time to myself in quiet contemplation,
and the excitement of pulling enough thread at any given time to roll in the palms of my hands and toss onto the floor.
