Handled Denim | 1999 | private performance + installation
Handled Denim came about through a conscientious attempt to translate a daily ritual into an art project. I ripped denim jeans apart and pulled threads one at a time. Motivations for pulling lint include finding time to myself in quiet contemplation, and the excitement of pulling enough thread at any given time to roll in the palms of my hands and toss onto the floor.
